McNeil previewed her historic state meet performance on Friday afternoon with a 2:10 split on the anchor leg of the 4x800. Then, after a MD #1 55.08 400 to win the 3A 400, McNeil nearly set an overall state meet record in the 800. Her time of 2:11.27 was still enough to take down the 3A state meet record of 2:12.02, and McNeil will most likely have another chance next year as a senior.
