Sunday July 30:

OFF.

Monday July 31:

This week I'm in Maine for vacation. I ran for about 44 minutes this morning at 7:25 pace. The cooler weather helped me keep a faster pace throughout the run. My conditioning consisted of a longer core routine and hip strengthening.

Tuesday August 1:

Today I ran for 38 minutes at a comfortable 7:35 pace. I got in eight hill strides (15 seconds off 45 seconds off). All my strides this week are on hills since there are no flat areas around where I'm staying. Later I did a core routine, lunges and push-ups.

Wednesday August 2:

This morning I ran for 46 minutes at 7:45 pace. My runs this week have all felt really strong. After running I went on a 20 mile bike ride and did some kayaking; I used this as my conditioning for today.

Thursday August 3:

Today I had a 40 minute run which I completed at 7:40 pace. After the run I did eight hill strides. I did a core routine today and went on a longer hike which I used as my strengthening.

Friday August 4:

This morning I ran for 78 minutes at 7:50 pace. I was originally supposed to run nine miles but I was feeling  good so I pushed it to ten. I had to my move long run to today because I'll only be able to get in a short run before leaving Maine tomorrow. I did a quick core routine today and went hiking and kayaking.

Saturday August 5:

I got up early and ran for about 30 minutes at 7:15 pace. I did a core and push-up routine before leaving. Maine's weather has been really nice this week which made it very easy to run. I'm sad to be leaving but excited to run with my teammates back home!

Weekly total: 38.5 miles
