Sophomore Girls: Jenna Goldberg, Walter Johnson

There are plenty of candidates from the group of sophomore girls in the state of Maryland, many of whom raced each other just last weekend at Oatlands. Walter Johnson's Jenna Goldberg finished 19th and was the third-fastest Maryland finisher overall and the top sophomore. She could face a challenge from Northwest's Helena Lee who finished seventh in this race last year, and a trio of Whitman girls (Paula Bathalon, Alicia Lauwers and Elizabeth Sklaire).
