The South Hagerstown boys high jumpers may be the best 1-2-3 combination of any team in any event in the state of Maryland. Seniors Nathaniel Moore and Kaithon McDonald currently sit 1-2 on the Maryland state leaderboard, with Moore's 6'10 effort earlier this season at the Dwight Scott Invitational marking the best by a Maryland athlete since Walkersville's Jonathan Hill back in 2008-09. The Rebels have a chance to score more than 20 points at the state meet in the high jump alone, as junior Charlie Hoston cleared 6'1 at the 3A West Regionals.

The 3A West regional meet was the high jump hotspot this winter, as all five 3A boys who have cleared 6'1 went head-to-head at the Sportsplex (and advanced to the state meet). Manchester Valley's Adam Melville and Linganore's Colby Bannon have the best chances at keeping South Hagerstown from going 1-2-3 and scoring an astounding 16 points in the high jump at the state meet on Tuesday.
