Lackey's Dominique Jeffery enters her final high school track season with four individual state titles to her name. Could she sweep all three sprint events at the 1A state meet in May to give her seven total? (Photo by Craig Amoss)

Bullis' Shaniya Hall won the freshman 400 at New Balance Outdoor Nationals last June and owns the fastest returning time in the 400 meter dash. Franklin's Nyjari McNeil is the only other returner to have run under 55 seconds, and her senior indoor season included many record-setting performances in the 500. Her teammate Cameron Hinton was the only non-Bullis athlete to run under 57 seconds in the event this indoor season. One of those athletes, Kasey Ebb, transferred to Bullis this season but was still on this list for her performance as a member of the Maryland-based Glenarden Track Club last July.

Others to watch: Mount Hebron's Sydney Robinson is actually River Hill's Sydney Robinson (once again) and she won the 2A 300 meter dash this winter; Masai Russell isn't among the top ten returners in the 400, either, but ran the second-fastest time in the state (56.10) this winter; Severna Park's Emily Knight just missed this list, but a second consecutive 4A 500 meter dash title speaks for itself.
