Neumann Goretti's (Pennsylvania) Sydni Townsend nearly broke the meet record last spring and returns with another crack at it on Saturday. As a junior Townsend won the PIAA state championship in the event; her 43.03 season best was one of the top 60 performances in the country. Dunbar could also have a chance to keep the meet record, as Thea Shaw boasts a 44.59 personal best.
