1A State Meet Record: 138'1 (Byrna Jones, Wilde Lake, 1983)
One of the oldest state meet records could be in jeopardy this season, because Mountain Ridge senior Alexie Arnold has reached new heights (or distances) this year in the discus. Her personal best throw of 143'5 is significantly further than the current 1A meet record, and she has two more performances of 134 feet or better under her belt this spring.
