VOTE: Who Was The Maryland Boys Distance Runner Of The Year?

Garrison Clark of Severna Park won the 4A boys 3200 meter title last month with a personal best and state leading time of 9:19.99. Clark also PR'd with a 4:20 1600 at the state meet and just missed earning All-American honors at New Balance Nationals with a 9th place finish in the 5K with a personal best effort of 15:01.

Maryland Top 10 Boys 800m Rankings (Full Rankings)

Milford Mill Academy's Aariq Nixon beat many of the state's best half milers who traveled out of state like him in the post-season to the PA Distance Festival with a 1:51.56 PR victory in the 800 on June 1st.


Maryland Top 10 Boys 1600m Rankings (Full Rankings)

Ryan Lockett of Poolesville won a pair of state titles in 2A this spring in the 1600 and 3200 with a close runner-up finish in the 800. He also bested Kieran McDermott's state leading time in the mile from a Penn Relays victory with Lockett's 3rd place finish of 4:09.09 in the Music Distance Carnival in June.

Maryland Top 10 Boys 3200m Run Rankings (Full Rankings)

Eric Gibson of GIlman School was one of the top private school performers this spring clocking personal bests of 9:23 in the 3200, 4:19 in the mile, and 1:55 in the 800. Gibson also won a competitive MIAA 3200 title over the likes of Camden Gilmore and Hunter Petrik, while finishing among the top 3 in both the 1600 and 800 in the same meet.
