No. 20: Centennial High School
The Centennial girls have featured one of the best programs in Maryland in recent years, with a streak of four straight finishes in the top four at the 3A State Championships which included state titles in 2013 and 2015. Defending their title will be difficult this year as the team graduated three of their six finishes from last year's state meet. Their top returners, rising senior Kara Taylor and rising sophomore Alison Betler, finished 13th and 19th respectively at last year's state championships, and three more returners under 22 minutes will help keep them hanging around in the 3A race. Another top-four finish this season would extend their streak of top four finishes at the state championship to five years in a row (River Hill has the next longest such streak among 3A girls, with two straight top-four finishes).
