Adam Melville, Manchester Valley
Improvement comes in leaps and bounds - literally. Manchester Valley's newest high jumper competed last year at the now-closed North Carroll High School, where he finished second in the 1A high jump last spring. 6'0 was his personal best heading into the 2017 calendar year, and promptly cleared 6'2 at a CCBC-Essex Meet. He then won the high jump at Last Track To Philly, setting another personal best - this time at 6'4. Melville was unfortunately DQ'd at the Carroll County Championships but should compete for the 3A state title in February.
