William Henderson came very close to breaking this meet record last season: his winning time of 6.40 was just off the record of 6.37. He will be back to defend his title as a senior and will undoubtedly have his sights on the eight-year-old meet record. Henderson is currently tied for the top mark in the country at 6.31 which he ran both at the Hispanic Games and the Millrose Games (where he set the meet record). He also clocked a 6.32 55 at the Sportsplex back in December at the F.I.T. Invitational. Also, don't count out Wilde Lake's Christian Saulsbury who nearly beat Henderson in the 55 dash at last year's state meet.
