Khaalea Collins came close to the 1A state meet record in the event in the prelims last winter before grabbing her second straight win in the event. The senior will have a chance to win her third indoor 55 meter hurdle state championship this season and perhaps go for something bigger. Twice this year she has gone under the current state record of 8.49, including a personal best of 8.41 at the PG Holiday Invitational in December.
