In his first full indoor season at Blake Bennett was unstoppable against Maryland competition in the shot put. After January he never threw anything less than 56 feet, sweeping the county, regional and state titles. Bennett also won the Atlantic Coast Invitational and finished in the top three at both the Virginia Tech and University of Kentucky invitationals. He ended his season with a twelfth-place finish at New Balance Indoor Nationals and will have 60 feet on his mind heading into spring.
