The first-year senior runner began the season consistently around 15 feet in the long jump before putting everything together in mid- to late-May. Her 16 foot, 9 inch leap at the 3A East Regionals was a personal best by more than a foot, and then she outdid that performance by over another foot at the state meet. Her leap of 18'1.50 was good for second place - better than she finished at the regional meet.
