The Broadneck girls made their season debut and did not disappoint at the Howard County Invitational, leaping over the idle Northern girls into the third spot. The Hereford girls likely would have won the Barnhart Invitational had JV race winner Meghan Benda run the varsity race, so they jump into the top ten.
Both the Leonardtown (second at Howard County Invitational with return of Nelle Ray) and Liberty (fourth, despite missing one of their top runners) are our biggest risers among teams that had already been in the rankings. Howard County powerhouses Atholton and Centennial both also crack the top 25 after being on the "next five" list last week.
