The fourth annual Maryland Track & Trail Invitational will be held on Saturday, September 12th at the Fair Hill Racetrack in Elton, Maryland. That's right a high school cross country race on a horse track. No betting will be allowed on this event, but can count on some highly competitive individual and team races between the small schools division in the morning session and large schools division in the afternoon.

We hope to see 17-time 1A state champ Ty Franks racing against the top 3A/4A guys, but he likely will be racing in the small schools division race with his Bohemia Manor squad in the morning. Nonetheless, should be a hot afternoon race up front in the large school division between two of Montgomery County's best in Richard Montgomery junior Rohann Asfaw and Quince Orchard senior Liam Walsh.
