September 26th Weekend Highlights:
- Bull Run Invitational - Maria Coffin establishes a course and meet record in 18:09 performance. MD #2 Severna Park edges out MD #1 Dulaney boys boy 3 points putting 7 runners ahead of Dulaney's #5 runner. Eric Walz repeats as the elite boys race champ, but needing to rally late over Joshua Tucker for 15:44 victory. MD #1 ranked Bethesda-Chevy Chase girls withstand challenge from a field including 7 of top 10 ranked teams in state to take elite race team title. Easton's Kathryn Gearhart dominates elite girls race from the gun for day's second fastest time at 18:51. Haley Wright outduels Brit Lang in small schools race thriller. Hayley Jackson wins medium school race with ease in 19:18. Large schools winner Darren Harman (16:21) and small schools winner Nick Tilson (16:23) venture into low 16:20's out front.
- DCXC Invitational - Walter Johnson girls show what they are capable of full strength finishing second in team merge among all class races ahead of last week's Oatlands champs Walter Johnson led by Emily Murphy's 18:50 performance in senior race. Thomas W. Wootton boys had best team finish among Maryland schools in fifth place, while Michael Abebe & Liam Walsh were fastest individual boys at 16:20 and 16:23. Runner-up finishes in their class races by Winston Churchill's Julia Reicin and Poolesville freshmen Nandini Satsangi.
- Carlisle Invitational - Jack Wavering (4th, 15:40 PR) leads Good Counsel boys to third place and Claudia Wendt (9th, 18:51) leads Good Counsel to fourth place showings up in Pennsylvania
