Maryvale Prep junior Emily Craig was coming off a sensational cross country season including major invitational wins at the Spiked Shoe Invite and Gunpowder Falls Invite along with claiming the IAAM conference title.
She kept that momentum going into indoor season with her opening meet on Friday night at the Terry Baker Invitational in winning both the 1600 and 800 meter races in dominant fashion with times of 5:14.74 and 2:24.94. Her 1600 meter performance ranks as the state's best time from the opening weekend, while the 800 meter time ranks #2 in Maryland.
