Micah Meekins Flat Tracks Fast Time To Foreshadow Sub 40 To Come
Before she ran a sub 40 second PR in the 300 at the Armory Track Invitational over the weekend competing unattached, Micah Meekins of Marriotts Ridge foreshadowed to that performance coming by running a dominant race to win the 2A East Regional 300 title on Monday at PG in a 40.24 clocking on the flat track. It was suppose to be a tightly contested matchup between herself and one of the state's elite hurdlers in Sydney Williams of Lackey having also run 40 seconds this year in the 300. However, Williams wanted no part of an all out 300 with the finals of the 55 hurdles and dash to come while Meekins pressed from the gun for the first of two fast 300's on the week from Harvard bound Meekins.
