Congratulations to Eleanor Roosevelt distance runner Edward Belsoi and Urbana thrower Delia Sipe for winning this past week's poll for MileSplit Maryland Performers Of The Week.
Belsoi started off his 2016 outdoor season winning the 1600 meter run at the Central High School in a time of 4:33.09, which was the fastest performance in the state after the first week of the season. Belsoi received a total of 3,408 votes and 53.06% of a total 6,423 votes.
Meanwhile, Sipe was a double winner in throws at her home invitational at the Urbana Relays including a MD #1 mark of 129'2" in the discus throw and MD #2 mark of 37'11". Sipe received a total of 1,774 votes and 68.18% of a total 2,602 votes.
