Check out the top 500 girls cross country 5K times in the state of Maryland in the MileSplit database as of September 12th. Walter Johnson's Abbey Green took down the meet and course record at Maryland Track & Trail with a rare sub 18 minute 5K performance in Maryland. Only a handful of runners in the state have run as fast or faster than Green over last dozen years, while all-time Walter Johnson great Sally Glynn (2nd at 1994 Foot Locker Nationals in 17:12) in the mid 1990's has set the bar for Green and all to chase after since.
