Check out the top 100 Maryland girls 5K performances all-time at Virginia's Glory Days Invitational! Northwest's Britt Eckerstrom clocked a blazing time of 18:01 on a fast course in the 2007 race as only a freshman. It still stands as the top Maryland girls performance in the meet's history, according to the MileSplit database. Eckerstrom would finish second at the state meet that season, her highest finish in her high school career.

A year prior, Britt's elder sister Emma finished second in the girls seeded race at the 2006 Glory Days Invitational with a time of 18:23. She would finish sixth at that year's state championships.
