The PR's just keep on coming for Hereford senior Kelly Wesolowski. A week after setting the Gettysburg course record, she finished second at the Milestat.com Invitational - one of the largest cross country meets in the Washington area this season - with a new personal best time of 17:41.
It's Wesolowski's first time cracking the 18-minute barrier. After her performance today she sits at #2 on the Maryland girls 5K leaderboard behind Abigail Green. She also now has the fastest non-DCXC time of the season (Green's fastest non-DCXC 5K this season was 17:54.70 at the Track and Trail Invitational).
The Severna Park boys also raced in the varsity A race at the Milestat.com Invitational. Led by junior Hugh O'Connor (30th, 16:03) they finished third overall, posting a ridiculous 23-second 1-5 spread and averaged 16:15 as a team.
