Northwest senior Joshua Netterville had a huge day in his indoor season opener at the Montgomery County Schools Meet on Tuesday at the PG County Sportsplex in Landover, Maryland. Let's not even mention leaping 22'1.25" in the long jump from the East Carolina commit. Okay, we did.

On the track, Netterville had 3 sensational races and times. First on the day was rolling in the fast heat of the boys 55 meter dash with a US #4 and MD #2 clocking of 6.47, which matches his PR from a year ago as a state runner-up in the 4A finals.

Not long after his 55 meter dash sizzler, Netterville stepped back on the track for the 300 meter dash, which the returning Montgomery County champ put down another fast season opening win in a 36.20 performance. He had a remarkable last 50 meter drive to run down his competition for the win. His US #3 mark of 22'1.25" in the long jump came shortly after his 300 race on tired legs and only 3/4 of an inch off his all-time best.

To close out his great start to the 2016-2017 indoor season, Netterville was able make up the gap on anchor leg to give his Northwest squad a come from behind win in the 4x200 meter relay with their time of 1:33.07.

Netterville certainly made quite an opening statement out Tuesday night. He's not playing around from the get go.
