Girls 500: Battlefield's Hoffman Cracks Meet Record With Late Push
Battlefield's Lauren Hoffman is one of the top hurdlers in the DMV, but on Thursday tried her hand in the 500 for the second time this season. It turned out to be a great choice - not only did she surge late to capture the win, she took down the meet record, clocking a time of 1:18.99. Hoffman also finished fourth in the 55 hurdles finals, and her 8.42 mark in the prelims moves her into the top ten early this season in Virginia.
