Check out the top 100 boys rankings in the distance events (800, 1600 and 3200) heading into the 2017 calendar year. Eastern Tech's Taylor Baranoski has come into the winter riding the momentum from his cross country state title and finds himself atop the boys 800 rankings heading into 2017. Baranoski took down McDonogh's Dalton Hengst at the Frostbite Invitational en route to becoming the first (and, so far, only) boy to break 1:58 in the 800 this winter; that performance came on the heels of his MD #2 1600 earlier in the day.
South River's Nick Boogades has shown some of the top range in the state so far this winter. He ranks among the top six in all three distance events (800, 1600 and 3200). Watch above as he clocks a MD #4 mark in the 1600 at yesterday's Anne Arundel County Invite at the PG Sportsplex.
