Top 50 4A Girls Rankings: Expect Coffin's Name To Show Up Pretty Soon

Annapolis' Maria Coffin debuted at #3 on the Maryland 4A 1600 leaderboard with her season-opening win at the Anne Arundel County Championships on Tuesday. Coffin ran 5:09 out of the slow heat, since she entered with no seed time, and will likely improve upon that at the regional and state meets.

She will also make her 2016-17 3200 debut this weekend at the Virginia Tech Premier High School Invitational. Coffin will be up against a strong field - one that includes MD #1 holder Abigail Green.
