Pan-Am Jr. Games 400mH Bronze Medalist Masai Russell Inks With Texas A&M

Masai Russell, a bronze medalist in the 400mH at the Pan-American Junior Championships this summer in Peru, signed with the Texas A&M Aggies on Wednesday during the first day of the National Letter of Intent early signing period.

Russell, a senior at Bullis School in Maryland, is No. 36 on MileSplit's big board of class of 2018 recruits, and her resume speaks for itself. She's prolific in the hurdles and has the top returning 400mH mark on the board in the country, having run 57.55 seconds at the USA Jr. Championships, where she finished second overall.

Russell also returns with the No. 6 best time in the 300mH nationally with a 42.15.

She'll get started with her senior season soon enough indoors, where she's run 39.24 at 300m, 55.57 in the 400m, and 1:13.72 in the 500m. She has PB'ed a mark of 7.20 seconds in the 55m as well.
