Here is your week three results board. With schools out for their winter breaks we have plenty of week day meets to go over this week. Below we'll place some quick top performance notes here and there, keep in mind anything written within this article is not a full recap so not everyone will be mentioned. If a full recap or other types over coverage are created they will be linked under the meet.

North Shore HS Invitational (NY)
Alicia Campbell of Snyder, a junior, won both the long jump, 18-06 NJ#1, and shot put, 40-01.5 NJ#3. A great multi-event athlete.
Robert J Burdette Indoor Classic (PA)
Sydney Hawkins of Phillipsburg had another great meet taking over NJ#1 in the 200m and winning the 60m dash as well with times of 25.50 and 7.70. More in the recap article as well race videos.

Christa Racine Invitational
Kate McAndrew of Morris Catholic ran a 2:21.49 NJ#4, she also finished second in the 1600m running 5:20.96 NJ#8. Laura Green won the 1600m in 5:17.48 NJ#7 when including converted miles. Sparta's Carlie Wilson had a season best 5-06.25 clearance in the high jump now NJ#2.

SJTCA Winter Meet #2
This one had many great performances and they came in bunches. During the 200m Dennisha Page, Jewel Ash, and Claire Pedrick all ran within .06 of each other and took over the NJ#3 through NJ#5 rankings. Page won running 26.02, Ash 26.06, and Pedrick 26.08!
In the 400m dash Jade Pope of Pennsauken and Claire Pedrick had another set of great times. Pope posted a 59.37 to rank NJ#4 this season and Pedirck's time of 59.85 moved her up to NJ#8.
Eastern Regional once again took Winslow head on in the shuttle hurdles relay, Eastern winning 32.69 to 32.70! Eastern already ranks NJ#2 with their 32.21 from opening day on December 14th. They also improved to NJ#6 in the 4x400m running 4:09.66 at this meet.
Willingboro had a huge day in the high jump both boys and girls. On the girls side Kenady Wilson cleared 5-04 tied for NJ#4 so far. The boys saw teammates Kameron Smith and and Nate Robertson square off both finished with a height of 6-06 now ranked NJ#2 together, both a juniors.
Devin Anderson of Mainland Regional now ranked NJ#4 thanks to his 22.68 in the 200m.
Alijah Caul threw over 40-00 for the first time in the shot put, she's just the fifth girl to do so this season for New Jersey. She also broke a 36 year old school record with that mark!
In the boys SMR Haddonfield and Willingboro went NJ#1 and NJ#2 respectively running 3:44.22 and 3:46.76.
Somerset County Championships (PA)
Ridge girls posted a 4:23.63 SMR and now rank NJ#2 US#8 in the relay event. Their co-team champion competition Montgomery had a big day in the DMR running 12:45.65 to take over the state lead and rank US#6. Bradley Jelmert of Watchung Hills, a junior, vaulted a major PR of 15-0 to lead the meet and is now tied for NJ#2.
South Brunswick Shot Put Invite
The first meet in the series history. Stephen Grant of North Brunswick now owns the young meet's boys record of 47-08.25 as the first winner. The girls winner was South Brunswick's Adwoa Ansong who threw 32-04.75 just .75 ahead of Nadja Ifill of North Brunswick in second at 32-04.

Coach Glynn Holiday Carnival (NY)
By Jim Lambert - Double winner Luis Peralta of Passaic, making his season debut, and Victoria Vanriele of Gov. Livingston both burned US#1 times in the 600-meter run, and Jenna Rogers of Rutherford cleared a NJ #1 and US#2 5-10 in the high jump at Ocean Breeze.
Peralta, the New Balance National 800 champ last June in 1:49.10, broke the facility record and moved up to No. 4 on NJ's all-time list in the three-lap race with his winning time of 1:20.09. He also won the 1,000 in a NJ#1 2:35.84.
Vanriele, a junior, improved on her US #1 time by winning the girls 600 in 1:31.63, which is No. 4 in NJ history. The state record of 1:29.27 was set in 2004 by Janine Davis of Queen of Peace.
Rogers, a junior, tied the facility record with her 5-10 clearance to improve on her NJ #1 and US #2 performance.
Rogers, the state outdoor record holder in the high jump with the 6-0 3/4 she made as a freshman to win the 2017 New Balance National title, has a great shot this season at breaking the state indoor record of 6-0, which was set in 1985 by Tatiana Smolin of Randolph.
In other NJ highlights, Guinove Joanus of Elizabeth ran a NJ#1 22.19 to win the boys 200 and ran a leg on the winning 4x200 that crossed the line in a NJ#2 1:31.01.
Christian Davis of Piscataway blasted an NJ#4 6.55 to edge state leader Jacob Leigh of Scotch Plains in the boys 55 dash. Leigh, NJ#1 with a 6.50, was second in 6.61. Leigh also ran a NJ#2 50.30 to win the 400.
NJCTC Winter Relays (NY)
The Gray Bees threw down a US#1 7:47.6 in the boys 4x800, a NJ #1 3:22.8 in the 4x400, and a NJ#2 30.74 in the shuttle hurdles.
In the boys 4x800, Ronald Kigen (1:59 and change), Lewis Ngwenya (1:56 point), Jackson Burnett (1:56 point) and Alfred Chawonza (1:55 and change) teamed up to give St. Benedict's its US#1, school record and NJ#7 all-time 7:47.6 (the meet was hand-timed). Chawonza came back later to split 49.6 on the anchor of the winning 4x400. St. Peter's Prep was second in the 4x800 a US#3 8:01.2.
Bergen Catholic lit up the track with a NJ#1 3:41.4 in the SMR and a NJ#4 10:52.4 in the DMR.
On the girls side, Red Bank Catholic won four races, including a NJ#1/US#6 12:43.8 in the DMR. In addition to its DMR win, RBC also captured the 4x800 in an NJ#3 9:55.5, the 4x200 (1:48.5), and the 4x400 (4:15.5).
In a great showdown in the girls shuttle hurdles, Paramus Catholic finished first in a NJ#1 30.84 and Union Catholic was second in a NJ#2 31.64. The times were converted.
Tiffany Bautista of Paramus Catholic had a big day in the jumps as expected.

Marine Corps Holiday Classic (NY)
Grace O'Shea of Ramapo broke her own Bergen County record in the 55 hurdles by placing second in a NJ #1/US#2 7.99, the Union Catholic girls cranked out a pair of fast relays and Nils Wildberg of Princeton opened his season by winning the long jump with a NJ#1/US#4 23-4 1/2, and t the 168th Street Armory.
This meet was filled with NJ#1 performances.
In addition to O'Shea and Wildberg, Lauren Princz of Egg Harbor, Louis Akpadago of Nottingham, Claudine Smith of Atlantic City, Jerika Lufrano of Union Catholic, Victoria Vanriele of Gov. Livingston, Orion Joyner of Kingsway, Zachary Hall of Matawan, the Union Catholic girls 4x400, Acasio Pinheiro of Princeton, the Matawan boys SMR, and the Ramapo girls SMR all turned in NJ#1 performances.
The UPenn-bound O'Shea, the NJ Meet of Champions winner in the 55 hurdles last winter, broke the county record of 8.06 that she set when she placed sixth at the New Balance Nationals last March. O'Shea, who finished behind the US#1 7.95 by Christina Warren of Perkiomen Valley (PA), moved into a tie for No. 12 on NJ all-time state list. O'Shea also ran a 25.6 200m leg on Ramapo's third-place SMR that ran a NJ#1 4:12.94.
Matawan's sprint medley relay time of 3:36.61 shot them right up the rankings to US#1 and right behind them in second was South Brunswick running 3:37.93 for US#4. Just eight teams have gone under 3:40 so far this young season.
Union Catholic and Bullis of Maryland hooked up in a red hot 4x400 with Bullis winning in 3:53.90 and UC second in 3:53.95, the two fastest times in the nation this season. Western Branch of Va. was third in a US#3 3:56.57. Union Catholic also placed third in the 4x800 in a NJ #3 9:54.70.
Leena Morant had a 57.32 split and Khamil Evans went 57.49 for UC in the 4x400. Jerika Lufrano had a huge day for Union Catholic. Lufrano won the mile in a NJ#1 5:04.09 and led off the 4x800 with a 2:20.89 carry.
The Dartmouth-bound Wildberg, second in the LJ at the Meet of Champions last spring with a PR of 23-8 1/2, has a great shot of breaking the Mercer County indoor record of 23-10 set in 1985 by Matt Rose of Trenton.
Akpadago, a junior, blasted a NJ #1 6.47 to win the 55 dash. No one else in the state has gone under 6.50.
Princz, who won the 200m as a freshman at the Meet of Champions last June, took over the state lead in the both the girls 55m dash and the 200m. Princz ran a NJ#1 7.12 to place third in the 55, and ran 24.92 in the trials of the 200m. Princz was fifth in the 200m final in 24.99.
Smith, a senior, bounded out to a NJ #1 39-1 in the girls triple jump to place second. Lufrano, a senior, won the girls mile in a NJ #1 5:04.09, and Vanriele was second in the 800 in a NJ#1 2:12.42. Vanriele also ran a US#1 1:31.62 at the Glynn Holiday Invite at Ocean Breeze on Friday.
Hall, a senior, ran a NJ#1 49.58 to place fourth in the boys 400. Elijah Brown of Union Catholic, who had the state lead, was fifth in a NJ#2 49.60. Joyner, a senior, improved his state lead in the boys triple jump with a runner-up jump of 45-10 3/4.
Pinheiro, a senior, placed third in the boys mile in a NJ#1 4:24.10.
Liam Landau of Pascack Hills won the boys pole vault on misses at 15-0, tying him for NJ#2. Conor Reilly of Union Catholic, who has also gone 15-0 this season, was third at 14-6.
The Kingsway boys won the 4x800 in a NJ#3 8:15.71, and ran a NJ#5 10:52.07 to place in the DMR.
In the girls pole vault, Mue Carroll of Matawan and Hope Handlin of Union Catholic each cleared a NJ#2 11-0. Carroll placed fourth and Handlin sixth.
