The defending 3A state champions from Centennial lost most of their 2018 team to graduation, but one key member of that group is back in 2019. Rising junior Jacob Cole placed 14th at the state meet, then ran 9:40 at the outdoor state meet to place third. Cole could be defending champion Anish Nanjappa's top challenger for the individual title in 2019.

Top Returners From 2018 Meet

River Hill's Anish Nanjappa has finished in the top ten at the county meet in each of his first three years of high school. With 18 seconds between him and the next closest returning finisher from last year's meet, he could become the first back-to-back county champion since fellow Hawk Chris Heydrick did so in 2013-14.
