Of all the performances on Brunswick's home course, one in particular stands out on the girls' side. On September 3, 2016, Catoctin senior Julien Webster put the rest of the state on notice when she kicked off the fall with an 18:18 performance at the annual Brunswick Invitational. Her course-record time is over 20 seconds faster than any other girls have run at Brunswick since 2010 (only two others, Brit Lang and Nandini Satsangi, have broken 19 minutes since).
What made Webster's performance even more impressive was her margin of victory. Urbana's Sara Jarman, then a freshman, was the runner-up, sneaking in at just under 20 minutes. Her nearly-100-second margin makes her effort one of the most dominant in recent Maryland history. Of course, the race was a harbinger of her overall success that season; she placed tenth at the Foot Locker Northeast regional meet, qualifying to represent Maryland at Foot Locker Nationals (where she finished 30th).
