Introducing the new MileSplit Maryland Editor Zack Dickerson

Hi everyone! My name is Zack Dickerson and I'll be starting as your new editor for MileSplit Maryland!

For the past 10 years, I have been the XC and Track coach at Howard High School in Ellicott City, MD. Before that, I ran XC and Track at Salisbury University! While I will still be helping coach XC this fall, I will take a step back from coaching Track & Field. I am excited for this new role and especially to make sure Maryland athletes, coaches, and teams, get the spotlight they deserve!

My goal as the Maryland State editor is to be able to make MileSplit a one-stop-shop for everything Maryland running; results, on-site meet coverage, articles, previews, analysis, pictures, videos, discussion, and so on. Over the next few weeks, I am going to be reaching out to coaches and timers to get a feel for what you think Maryland is missing in terms of coverage and I hope to be able to provide that going forward. If you have suggestions about coverage please reach out to me.

We have a great team of contributors in Maryland already and I am already getting excited for this upcoming fall XC season. With that said, if you, or anyone you know, would like to contribute to MileSplit, please reach out to me as well.

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions at: milesplitmd@gmail.com

Also, make sure to give our social accounts a follow!

Looking forward to getting things running!
