On September 8th, 2022, South River High School hosted the Seahawk Invitational, known for its fast, low-elevation course. The Severna Park Falcons seemed to sweep the majority of their competition.

Boys Varsity

In the boys varsity race, Mount Saint Joseph's Charlie Butler led from gun to line, winning with a time of 15:29.42. Wilde Lake's frontrunner Henry Hopper followed closely behind, placing second in 15:42.17 respectively. Several other notable top finishers included Chopticon's Mason Hoover in fourth (16:05.59), Gavin Stevens of Northern in fifth (16:08.02), and River Hill's Quinlan Ballou in sixth (16:11.02). Meanwhile, a fight for the overall team title went on between the Severna Park boys and Loyola Blakefield. Severna Park's Liam Hagerty led the Falcons, finishing third in 16:01.66.
