The big change here is Severna Park moving down to 3A. Their boys have won 5 straight 4A titles and their girls just won a State Championship this past season. I'm sure 4A schools are cheering while 3A schools are pretty worried about next year. Both their boys and girls teams will be state contenders next year.

Thomas Wootton moving down along with Dulaney makes 3A the toughest division for both the boys and girls. Wootton returns a lot from their strong girl's team this year and will be a title contender and Dulaney is always strong every year.

Frederick moves up to 4A, and their girls should be a contender next year, especially with Severna Park and Wootton moving to 3A. The Cadets return a large portion of the 3A Runner-up team this past season.

Centennial High and C Milton Wright are moving down to 2A and should be top 5 on both the boy's and girls' sides. Hereford and Poolesville remain in 2A but the classification will be much stronger now.

Liberty moves down to 1A and may be the pre-season state favorite for next year as they always produce strong XC teams.
