The defending Indoor 2A Champs bring back another VERY deep squad again. They score everywhere. Shane King and Trevin McHargh are dominant sprinters. Ethan Aidam is the defending 2A State XC Champ, and newcomer Abdur Hassan has already shown he is one of the best jumpers in the state. It will be hard to beat the Scorps this season.
2
National XC Qualifier Cam Davis will help lead the Cardinals this season. Davis will rank high is all distance events. Ricardo Cooper and Antoine McNair are two of the better sprinters in the state. These three along with a lot of depth in relays will make Calvert Hall a Contender in all meets this upcoming season.
3
Joseph DeRosier will lead Old Mill as one of the best hurdlers and sprinters in the state. His 7.58 mark in the 55 Hurdles currently is the top time in Maryland. Aidan Kress has already looked strong in the jumping events. The Patriots have also been dominant in relays this year already running 1:33 and 3:34 in the 4x2 and 4X4.
4
James Long, Anthony Waterman, Joshua Gresham, Elijah Fagbuyi, and Daden Grogan make up one of the deepest sprint teams in the state. Add in Michael Hansfield and Aston McCullers on the jump side and Dematha will be putting up lots of points all season.
5
Charlie Butler will look to carry his XC success from the fall into the Indoor season. He should place high in any distance race he runs. Matthew Goines is one of the top sprinters in the state. Add in Bly Hill in the jumping events and the Gaels once again are a very complete team.
6
Paul X. Rivers currently has the top mark in the Shot (50-2). Gage Osborne had a successful XC season and is stronger when it comes to track events. Antonio Berry will help add points in the jumping events.
7
Catoctin might be the best 1A school in the history of 1A schools. Brody Buffington leads the state in the 55m Dash as he ran 6.28 last weekend. Furious Trammel has run 1:08 for 500. Alexander Contrareas was the 1A XC State Champion in the fall. They will be huge favorites to win the 1A State title and are one of the best teams in the state regardless of classification.
8
The Falcons will continue to rely on their strength in the distance events as they won the 4A XC championship in the fall. The big question mark will be if they can score in other events. In the past few years the Falcons have had dominant jumpers and sprinters to support the distance points, however, last year they graduated most of those athletes.
9
The defending 3A Outdoor champs return several members this year. Jordan Tuck has already run 1:07 for 500, Ragiariki Lewis is one of the top hurdlers in the state, and Gavin Stevens will help score in the distance events.
10
Cam Brown and Duncan Perry are two of the top jumpers in the state and should provide a lot of points in all meets for the Greyhounds. Dominic Moates has also had a nice start to his season on the sprints side.
