MPSSAA State Meet Records Watch - GIRLS

1A GIRLS

800m - Mary Delaney (Mountain Ridge) has already run 2:17 earlier this season, 3 seconds faster than the current record of 2:20 run by Sharon Dorsey (Western STES) in 2013. The biggest challenge for Delaney breaking this record is the fact that this may be her 3rd event of the day as she qualified for the 500 and 1600-meter races as well. 

3200 - Caroline Matthews (Boonsboro) has already run 11:18, six seconds faster than the current record of 11:24 set by Abby Culp (Manchester Valley) in 2018.

2A Girls

4x200 Relay - The Oakland Mills girls don't want the boys to have all the fun. They will be trying to break the 4x200 record of 1:44.62 set by Harford teach in 2019. They have run 1:45.94 earlier this year. 

4x800 Relay- Hereford has run 9:44 earlier this year and will be trying the break the current record of 9:39 set by Damascus in 2019

3A GIRLS

800m - Hannah Toth (Westminster) is 1.5 seconds away from Sally Glynn's (Walter Johnson) record of 2:17.0 set in 1995. Toth has run 2:18.55 earlier this season. 

1600m- Hannah Toth will also be trying to get the 1600 record of 5:02.06 run by Emily Mulhern (Urbans) in 2015. Toth has run 5:06.82 earlier this year. 

4A GIRLS

1600m - Hallie Muniz (Winston Churchill) has run 5:04 earlier this season. Maria Coffin (Annapolis) currently has the record of 4:58.99 set in 2017.

Pole Vault - There have been 5 different vaulters who have jumped 11 feet over the years. Carson Boteller (Broadneck) also jumped 11 feet earlier this season and will be looking to jump higher to have the record all to herself.
