Near-perfect weather helped contribute to several records going down at this year's MPSSAA Track and Field State Championships. There were numerous 1A and 2A records broken, however, there were no meet records broken in the 3A or 4A classifications. Overall State Meet Records Broken
Girls Pole Vault - Ava Allen (Middletown) - Allen raised the PV record 3 inches from 12-04 to 12-07 with her record-setting jump!
Boys 100m Dash - Brody Buffington (Catoctin) - Buffington lowered the meet record a few thousandths from 10.41 to 10.35!
BOYS 1A MEET RECORDS
1A Boys 4x800 Relay - Mountain Ridge ran 8:04.72 to lower the previous record by 1 second. Watch below!
1A Boys 200m Dash - Brody Buffington set his second record of the meet when he lowered Kyle Farmers 200 record from 21.51 to 21.06.
1A 100m Dash (New All-Time Record) - Brody Buffington lowered his own 1A record from 10.60 to 10.35 and set an all-time classification meet record in the process. (Video Above)

1A GIRLS MEET RECORDS
1A Girls 3200 - Mary Delaney (Mountain Ridge) set her first of THREE meet records when she lowered the 3200 record from 11:06 to 11:03.
1A Girls 1600 - Mary Delaney (Mountain Ridge) - Her second record of the day came in the 1600 lowering the meet record of 5:01.43 by just a few tenths to 5:01.28
1A Girls 800 - Mary Delaney (Mountain Ridge) - Mary capped off her record-setting day by lowering the 800m record of 2:15 to 2:14.25
2A BOYS MEET RECORDS
2A Boys 4x100 - Oakland Mills. The Scorpians lowered the 16-year-old record of 42.18 down to 42.03. Fun fact, OM coach Chris Brewington was on the Howard 4x100 team that set that record in 2007.
2A Boys Discus - Ruichen He (Glenelg) He raised the record by over 4 feet as he threw 172-00.
