Loaded with talent, the mustangs have weapons everywhere. Nicholas Steed has already run 34.3 for 300 and 1:03 for 500. Jayden Perkins leads the state with his 6.36 55 Dash and Jayden Foster has one of the top long jump marks at 21-11. They can also put together some of the best relays in the nation. Their 4x800 just ran 7:49 for the top time in the nation and the second faster Maryland time ever!

A case could be made for DeMatha to be #1 on this list. Anthony Waterman is one of the top hurdlers in the country and has run 7.30 for 55m Hurdles. Ashton McCullers has the top mark in the state in the Pole Vault at 15-0 feet. Caleb Barley has thrown 55-3 in the shot, and Daden Grogan has run 1:56 in the 800. They also have dominant relays and have gone 1:27 in the 4x200, 3:20 in the 4x400 and were right behind McNamara in the 4x800 running 7:49.6 last week.

Bullis is led by superstar Quincy Wilson who is the fastest long sprinter in the nation. He ran the #2 all time 500m last week at VA Showcase, running 1:01.27. He has also run 1:17 in the 600, a sophomore class record. The Bulldogs also gained two strong transfers. Colin Abrams transferred from Magruder and has already run 1:53 for 800 and 4:21 for a mile this season. Matthew Goines transferred from Mt. St. Joe has run 34.7 in the 300. The trio teamed up to set the SMR National record last week in 3:23.

The Patriots are led by James Partlow, the NXN qualifier in the fall who has already run 4:13 for 1600 and 9:06 for 3200. Luke Freimanis has run 7.86 in the 55m Hurdles and high jumped 6-06. Gilberto Ramos has jumped 14-0 in the Pole Vault and David Obadofin has jumped 44-4 in the triple.

Calvert Hall has not shown all of its cards yet as some of their distance runners, such as standout Cam Davis have not run yet this season. Once they do they could move up this list. Chase Dorsey has the top mark in the Shot this season at 55-10, and Antoine McNair has jumped 22-2 in the Long.

Old Mill will rely on two athletes, however they are extremely dominant. Tsedeke Jakovics has run 4:16 for 1600 and 9:22 for 3200. Chancellor DeRosier has run 7.73 in the 55m Hurdles and jumped 44-06 in the triple

Howard - Joey Ensor has run 4:20 for the 1600 and 9:06 for the 3200 and will lead the Lions this season. Xavier Gardner looks to be having a breakout season as he has run 7.72 for the 55m Hurdles.

Good news for the Gaels as Charlier Butler looks to be back and stronger than ever. He ran 4:15 and 9:25 for the 1600 and 3200 last week. Charlie Gochar has run 1:56 for the 800 and they have a strong duo in the Pole Vault, Nolan Hershfield who has jumped 13-0 and Hayden Durst who has jumped 12-06.

Northern will be led by stand out Jordan Tuck. Tuck has already run 34 for 300 and 1:04 for 500 this season.

La Plata has two of the top 55m runners in the state in Darrius Mason and Mekhi Prather who have run 6.42 and 6.48 respectively. They will also get help from Willie Washington who has thrown 47 feet in the Shot.

Urbana will lean on Anthony Verdi who has run 4:28 for 1600 and 9:46 for 3200 as well as Kean Tanyi-Tang who has run 34.7 for 300m

Jemmel Green has run 4:26 and 1:59 so far this season for 1600 and 800. Cam Brown is one of the top jumpers in the state and has jumped 22-6 so far this season.

While they lost a lot to graduation last year the scorpions will still be a contender in most meets they compete in. Gabriel Murray has run 7.83 in the 55m Hurdles and Adeeb Pender has jumped 12-07 in the Pole Vault.

The Spikes Brothers may be the best 1-2 sprinting punch in the state. Nick Spikes has run 21.2 for 200 and 33.5 in the 300, which both rank top 5 in the country. Roman Spikes ran 6.48 in the 55m Dash. They have teamed up to run 1:29 in the 4x200 as well.

Jake Weakland and Ben Wheeler have had breakout seasons so far this year. Weakland has run 1:06 in the 500 and 2:00 in the 800. Wheeler has run 35.2 in the 300 and 1:05 in the 500. Jadon Gaines has jumped 6-2 in the High Jump as well.
