Harford Invite Preview:

Preview of Harford Invitational:

The Course: A 3 mile course with a few small inclines. No real sharp turns to slow you down, and a lot of open straight aways. It is a great spectator course.

Boys:

The individual race should be between Matt Centrowitz of Broadneck, defending champ Brian Harvey of Centennial, Mark Handleman of Walt Whitman, and Brett Kelley of Bel Air. Look for a fast early pace. If the course is in good shape look for a winning time in the area of 15:40 to 15:50. For the team race is will be a good showdown between Broadneck, Liberty, and Loyola. They are the top 3.

Girls:

The individual race in this one should be interesting. You have Lauren Capone of Towson who was running great, but has had two bad races. Allison Smith of Atholton has been running really well, but has yet to be challenged. Emily Nagle of Broadneck had a great race at Knights, but a bad one of Bull Run. Then there are the CMW girls. Allison Barnes won Spiked Shoe, and ran ok at Bull Run. Kelli Buck has not been up to form lately, but always runs well on this course. Sara Bailey has the potential, and Megan Ravenscraft has run in the 18:40's on this course. Any could win, we will have to wait and see. The team race should come down to CMW and Broadneck.
