Lady Bears End the Season With a Fourth Place MEAC Finish

Princess Anne, MD. (Oct 29, 2011)-The Lady Bears cross country team ended their season with a fourth place finish at the 2011 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) cross country championships. This is considered a major improvement from last year's ninth place finish.
The Lady Bears ended the day with a total of 156 points. Leading her team for the 5th time this season was freshman runner Patrice Rowe, who finished 21st overall in a time of 20:20.80. Finishing right behind Rowe was Nynneya Columbus (25th/20:36.55). Both freshmen have been stand out performers for the women's team this year.
Hampton, who finished with a total of 53 points, took home the women's MEAC championship for the second consecutive season and fourth overall. Bethune-Cookman's Kadian Dunkley took home the individual title, in a time of 18:43.61.
