“I coach only one way and that is total commitment. Well, I am unable to coach like this now.”
Those words, written to The Gazette in a letter on Nov. 17, 2010 from longtime Damascus cross country and track and field coach, Robert Youngblood, were his way of saying farewell to the school where he had coached since 1994.
Now, just a little more than two years after submitting that letter, Youngblood has rediscovered that “total commitment” once more, taking on the coaching positions for track and field and cross country at Northwest High School.
