The senior won four individual events and set three meet records last week at the Anne Arundel County Indoor Track Championships at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex. Franklin set meet records in the 55-meter hurdles (8.19 seconds), 300 meters (40.24) and 500 meters (1:17.66). She also won the 55-meter dash, a race she had never before run at the county meet. An All-Metro runner indoors and out, Franklin won state titles last year in the 55-meter hurdles indoors and the 300 and 500 meters outdoors. The Baltimore Sun's Female Performer of the Year last spring in track and field, she finished second in the 400-meter hurdles at the Penn Relays . Franklin, who has a 3.5 GPA, signed last week with Ohio State over Michigan and Clemson. (via baltimoresun.com)
