Boys High Jump
2016 Winner: Elijah White (Centennial) 6'2
The 2016 3A high jump was one of the closest competitions at the state meet, with two finishing at 6'2 and a handful of others clearing six feet. Five of those boys at six feet or better are back for the 2017 season, including runner-up Kaithon McDonald of South Hagerstown. White has cleared 6'6 this spring to tie the MD #1 mark, but McDonald has kept pace with a personal best jump of his own at 6'4.25. The high jump should be one of the more exciting events to watch at the state meet later this season.
