Poolesville's Nandini Satsangi had an impressive high school debut race at the Great Meadow Invitational on Saturday in The Plains, Virginia. Competing against some of the top runners in the state of Virginia, Satsangi finished 7th in the varsity A race with a time of 19:53.
Her senior teammate Fiona Whitefield was not far behind her in 12th place with a time of 20:10 as the Poolesville girls finished 11th overall as squad in the 24 team field with 296 points.
Meanwhile, Andrew Lent was the top boys finisher for the Poolesville cross country team at the Great Meadow Invite as the junior finished 32nd in the varsity A boys race with a time of 17:00. Only 7 seconds off his PR from last fall as he takes over the #1 runner role firmly for his team with sophomore Ryan Lockett (16:45 5K PR) having transferred over the summer to Gonzaga College in DC.
