It was a night of great performances at the PG Center. The state leaders list was basically rewritten with 9 Maryland #1 girls marks and 6 on the boys side. Louise Hannallah was probably the performer of the night for Maryland, she helped her team to a US #5 4x800 with a time of 9:34.10, placed 6th in the mile (5:16.99), and then came back to take second in the 3200m (11:23.13).
But the most exciting finish came in a battle royale between Morgane Gay and Alex Doll in the Girls Mile. Gay closed hard on Doll who had a big lead with 400 to go, kicking her down to the line she came away with a victory on the lean in 5:08.48, with Doll, the Chevy Chase freshman, just .05 back!
