MileSplit Maryland is asking several of the top state's top returning cross country runners to share with us their summer training leading up to the 2016 XC season. Interested in blogging for us? Email us HERE.

Bethesda-Chevy Chase rising junior Adam Nakasaka was one of the unexpected breakout stars during the 2015 cross country season. Having mainly been a mid-distance runner during his freshman season of track, he quickly emerged as one of the team's top runners in 2015. His 14th place finish at the 4A State Championships helped lift the Barons to a third-place finish. He continued the momentum into the track season where he posted times of 4:35 in the 1600 and 9:38 in the 3200. He will be looking to lead the team to its first team state title since 2007.
