Analysis: The top runner for the Northwest girls over the past year or so, Zarate is looking to continue to improve upon her top 20 finishes in the last two years in the 4A state cross country race and break into the top 10. She nearly eclipsed sub 19 minutes last fall, so that will be a goal of hers this upcoming season.
