Girls virtual meet preview can be found below for Saturday's Seahawk Invitational at South River High School in Edgewater, Maryland taking the season best 5K times from all returning runners on all 32 teams entered and scoring as a meet. Over 1,400 runners are expected to compete in the 2016 Seahawk Invitational.
Missing from last year's race is the heavyweight battle when MD #1 and MD #2 ranked Maria Coffin and Hayley Jackson as neither of their teams entered into this year's Seahawk Invite, but the meet should be just as deep if not deeper than 2015 when a handful of girls broke 19 minutes to start the season and a total of 27 went under 21 minutes. A total of 43 girls will be in the race who broke 21 minutes for 5K last year.
