WATCH Rohann Asfaw Win Oatlands, Abby Green Finish Second

The annual Oatlands Invitational in Virginia is one of the largest cross country meets in the Mid-Atlantic, attracting top talent from around the Washington area. After finishing fourth last year, Richard Montgomery senior Rohann Asfaw outlasted the field at this year's meet, winning with a Maryland state-leading time of 15:47.00.


Walter Johnson junior Abigail Green made her 2016 debut last week with a dominant performance at the Track and Trail Invitational, and continued her strong start to the season with a runner-up finish in the girls race at the Oatlands Invitational, running 18:17.00. Catoctin's Julien Webster was not far behind in third place with a final time of 18:27.00.

Team Maryland picked up another win on the day when Northwood sophomore Obsaa Feda won the varsity "B" race with a personal best of 16:55.00.
