Seasons Usual (Senior, Frederick Douglass-PG)
Usual defended her indoor 2A shot put title last season while also taking her skills to a new level. Her state-winning throw of 41'9.50 ranks in the top ten in MileSplit's database since 2000 and earned her a ticket to the Championship event at New Balance Indoor Nationals. She won another title in the shot put during the spring and went on to place 11th in the Emerging Elite section of the event at New Balance Outdoor Nationals.
She found even more success in the discus last outdoor season - her MD #1 mark of 151'8 ranks #3 since 2000 based on performances in the database. That throw came at New Balance Outdoor Nationals where she placed fifth in the Championship event. Unfortunately for Usual there is no discus indoors, but she will still have the opportunity to capture her third straight indoor 2A shot put title and climb higher up the Maryland ranks since 2000.
